90 or more credit hours = Senior

The transfer admissions office offers pre-set advising days when students can be advised and register for classes. If a student is unable to attend an Advising Day they can contact the transfer admissions office to set up an individual advising appointment.

It is strongly recommended that all transfer students attend Advising Day so that the student can have a chance to meet other transfer students, take the math placement test (if needed), meet with their advisor and register classes – all in one day.

If a student has been following a model program and has 60 semester hours completed they should be able to graduate in approximately 5 semesters (this does not include if a student decides to co-op). If they have not been following a model program and are simply bringing in credit hours, it will vary depending on each student’s situation. The last 60 credit hours of any degree at Missouri S&T must be completed on the Missouri S&T campus, unless a special exception is made by the student’s advisor.

Because Missouri S&T is committed to both the development of the individual and the academic success of its students, we require freshman and sophomores to live in university-approved housing. University-approved housing includes university residence halls, apartments, and recognized Greek houses. Exceptions to this rule are granted under certain conditions.
